Some of the more highly trafficked roads in Auburn include Auburn Folsom Road, Nevada Street, Elm Ave, Edgewood Road, and Lincoln Way. These roads are necessarily dangerous, however the more traffic there is, the likelihood of a car accident happening increases. These roads contain many intersections which are often where rear end and head on collisions take place.
The most serious injuries in Auburn typically involve accidents on State Route 49 and Interstate 80. This is where vehicles are traveling at higher rates of speed and heavier vehicles, such as trucks, pass through carrying freight.

Auburn Car Accident FAQ
What if I'm involved in a car accident while it was snowing?
It's rare that we see snow on roads in Auburn, and in the event we receive it, it is usually melted by nightfall. But when we do get snow, there can be dangerous car accidents. The California Driver’s handbook states that drivers, especially inexperienced drivers, should adjust their speed based on current road conditions. This may mean driving at a speed lower than the legal posted speed limit in order to maintain safe operation of their vehicle.
Only small amounts of snow and ice are needed to increase the likelihood of skidding and sliding off the side of the road, across the lane, or into oncoming traffic. The hazard known as “black ice” is an especially dangerous hazard, due to the way it blends in with the surface of asphalt roads.
