Caring for someone who has suffered a TBI injury can be exhausting. The person you have known all your life is gone and sometimes it seems like you are taking care of an entirely new person. 

This is a job you have never asked for and it can be so overwhelming. The family dynamics have changed in significant ways.

It’s not easy to transition into being a caretaker. You will often need help and will always need support. Research indicates that brain-injured people who have loving support have better physical and emotional outcomes.
