CO-COUNSEL AND REFERRAL FEES 

The Law Offices of Edward A. Smith can help you generate a source of income with no overhead.  We can pay referral fees to other lawyers in accordance with The Rules of Professional Conduct of the State Bar of California.  The Rules prohibit referral fees from being paid to non-lawyers.

The Rules also allow us to co-counsel a case with other lawyers and pay appropriate referral fees to those lawyers.  The client's prior consent is required.

NATIONAL REFERRAL PROGRAM 

By virtue of our success and reputation we receive inquiries regarding personal injury cases in other states.  We therefore regularly seek qualified lawyers in other states for our out of California cases.
